Such travellers are easily identifiable. They will be the ones whose carry-on luggage is weighed down by the cameras, at least two, and range of lenses. They may even still be carrying film. Usually their eye will be behind a view-finder and they are most often to be found on the periphery of a tour group as they search for a perfect shot, while still keeping an ear out for information being conveyed by a guide.
The ardent photographer is worth getting to know, as they are usually more than happy to share the best of their photographs with their travelling companions.
They will be able to help or supply you with lense cleaner and offer advice on what speeds to set your camera to shoot the conditions, or even help you with advice on selecting or upgrading when next you purchase a camera.
They will oblige with ensuring your are captured to best advantage with your own camera.
