They are willing to pay excess baggage allowances or upgrade their flights, simply for the privilege of being weighed down by their belongings.
This type of traveller expects to have hotel and transfer staff available to assist them with their luggage as they move from one destination to the next.
Woe betide the weighed down traveller should hotel lifts be out of service, or non-existent, especially, if there are no staff available to assist them haul their luggage up or down stairs, many floors up!
The weighed down traveller can't travel without a hairdryer, travel iron, bathrobe, or shoes and handbags to match the multiple outfits they have packed in their bags.
As they pack, weighed down travellers will attempt to squeeze in a few extra items they can't bear to be without.
They will always struggle to zip their luggage closed, as the contents fight for liberation from the inadequate space available to contain them. But this will not inspire the weighed down traveller to shed some of those contents, in order to pack and move on more conveniently.
The weighed down traveller will also need to collect souvenirs from every place they go and purchase extra luggage to accomodate their purchases.
They forget that in most places they will be able to purchase many of the items they can't bear not to have at their disposal should they need it.
If you intend travelling with a weighed down traveller, my best advice is to give them a strict kilogram luggage limit, never carry their bags and even give them a small suitcase to limit their luggage. Only this way are you likely to enjoy unencumbered travels!
